At White Consulting Partners we are committed to safeguarding both our client and candidate personal information. The following statement explains how we manage your personal information in accordance with the National Privacy Principles established by the Privacy Act 1988.
Collection of Personal & Sensitive Information
Generally, the type of information that we collect about you will be that supplied in your resumé, for example your name, contact details, career and academic history and any competency tests that may be required as part of the application process.
Wherever practicable, we will collect your personal information directly from you perhaps when you deal with us by telephone, letter, fax, email or visit our website. Any relevant information will be recorded by us during the interview process.
Where it is necessary as part of the application process, we may require sensitive information about you. Such information may include any membership of a professional or trade association/union; your health (including any disability) or any criminal records that you may have. Where we collect such information, we will only disclose details of the same with your prior consent.
On occasions, we may obtain personal information about you from a third party. For example, when obtaining a reference from one of your nominated referees or when receiving the results of a psychological or competency test.
If you do not provide us with the information that we seek, we may be limited in our ability to locate suitable work for you and in our ability to place you in work.

We hold personal information in a combination of secure computer storage facilities and paper based files until it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected. At that time we will permanently destroy your personal information.

Gaining Access to your Information
Subject to some exceptions (as set out in the National Privacy Principles) you can gain access to the personal information that we hold about you.
Should you wish to exercise your right, your request should be made to us in writing.
We will deal with your request promptly.
You will be expected to fully reimburse us for our reasonable costs and disbursements in duplicating and supplying this information to you.

When you access our website, we gather information about all of our users collectively, such as what areas our users visit most frequently and the services users access the most. We only use such data anonymously and in the aggregate. This information helps us to continually create a better overall experience for you.
